Max's only real friend who, unlike Max, had a wonderful childhood and was taught by his Texan mama that "When you do something nice for someone, there is a deposit made under your name in Heaven."

The wonder dog who brings Max unconditional love.

Michelle, the daughter he never knew existed. A 22-year-old beautiful and strong-willed girl, who wants to get to know Max before he dies — to try and understand her biological father, one that neither of them knew existed until now.
